![]() ![]() I'm saying this as an advice not only for you, but also for people interested to jump in the game only because of the brand, completely forgetting the genre. My first playthrough of the main story was on console and I didn't have any friends to play with and it was never an issue.įirst of all you must understand that ESO, unlike the rest of the main single player titles, is an MMO, a completely different genre (even if you play it solo), and that the entirety of the game and it's systems work under that perspective. But if you're a generally easy person to please like myself, ESO will be an almost limitless source of entertainment and like a lot of other people have said, you can play it entirely solo. I will say for some of the more, uh, let's say dedicated fans, the lore can be a bit controversial for one reason or another. ![]() It's got 30 some odd side quests alone and it is a massive game so you can imagine how many different and varyingly large areas there are in any given MMO and they are constantly putting out new content. Every time I make a new character I play through all of Grahtwood first because I cannot get enough of that area and I always find something I didn't previously. I can't quest with friends in ESO because every NPC is fully voiced (and incredibly well directed and acted I might add) with usually several branches of dialogue and I sit through every second of it. Questing in every other MMOs for me is just walking all the way to whatever NPC you need to talk to, spamming whatever button to get through the text as fast as possible and then doing that ad infinitum/nauseum. ESO is the only MMO that I have even remotely given a shit about the lore. ![]()
